What is PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana?
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an initiative of the Government of India, however it provides PM Kisan benefit of up to ₹6,000 per year as a minimum income to all middle class farmers. The initiative was announced by Piyush Goyal during the 2019 Interim Union Budget of India on 1 February 2019. The cost of this scheme is ₹75,000 crore, and it is starting from December 2018. Under this scheme, every eligible farmer will be paid ₹ 6000 per year in three installments.

- Former and current holders of constitutional posts
- Former and present Ministers/Ministers of State and former/present members of Lok Sabha/Rajya Sabha/State Legislatures/State Legislative Councils, former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
- All serving or retired officers and employees of Central / State Government Ministries / Offices / Departments and its field units, Central or State Public Sector Undertakings and Attached Offices / Autonomous Institutions Regular employees of Government as well as Local Bodies
- (Except Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV / Group D employees)
- All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs. 10,000/- is higher.
